Distance from floor to bottom branches?

I like a tree that is lower to the floor. This looks high from the floor. Can the pole at the base be adjusted?

I like them lower, too. More down swept branches actually.

I noticed that as well, I like the branches way low, then I set the gifts all around it instead of underneath, we have in past years sawed the bottom of the pole off in the lower section of the tree to get the look we wanted, used a hack saw to cut through the metal, don't know if the electrical light cords run all the way down on this tree or not but that would determine whether it could be done of course.
