New Milana Instyler

Anyone ordering the new Milana Instyler TSV on Feb. 11? It's an upgraded version which includes more heat setting choices and upgraded technology (details not provided) with the choice of 3/4" or 1 1/4" barrels. It comes with bag/heat mat, 2 sectioning clips, comb, shield, and a flower hair clip. I ordered it today. I'm very curious to see how this upgraded version performs. I have both the 3/4" and 1 1/4" versions and will be giving them to my nieces once I get this new one, as long as I like it. The price is $99.96 and $7.97 s/h, with the option of 5 flex pays. Can't wait to get it!! What does everyone think?

Let us know how you like it. It has ionic bristles. Only the Milana features both a ceramic tourmaline barrel and floating plate ... That is what peaks my interest. I am so tempted but I spent way too much on WEN WVM.

Sure I'll let you know what I think of it. I know what you mean about Wen. There's a TSV coming in February that I am going to order. It includes 613! Haven't tried it yet. I won't pass it up, great value!!

I'm thinking of ordering it...Have you received and tried it yet? If, so, how does it compare to the original?

I didn't get it yet. I should have it tomorrow (Tuesday). I can't wait to try it. I will definitely let you know how I like it.

From the insider: more versatile than the original with higher and lower heat ranges. Features ionic bristles, faster rotation for faster styling, 5 temperature digital display, quieter motor, luxurious soft-touch handle, lighter weight, one minute heat up, 7 ft swivel cord. Only on the Milana features both a ceramic tourmaline barrel and floating plate that create an incredibly smooth, frizz-free, soft and shiny finish.

Can't wait to read your review Just Jess. Like you, I have both sizes of the "old" one so am hesitant to get this. But if it is a whole lot better I will have to reconsider. Let us know soon please.

Thanks, I can't wait to hear your review. I am so tempted - your review may be my deciding factor. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Me too

Ionic bristles?

Not sure I would get a 3rd unless it would do my hair for me

Ok so I got my instyler this evening. I will give a review again after a couple days of using it. I have fine, thin hair. I definitely like the temp settings on this (4 to choose from). I also really like the feel of this new model. It's almost like a soft rubberized material, which I find makes it easier to hold. With my older ones, I ended up dropping it on my lap when I was wearing shorts. OUCH!!!! Definitely my fault for dropping it, but this new instyler has a much better feel in my opinion. The instructions mention several times to GO SLOW when using this in your hair. I made sure to do that. I like it and I am keeping it. I was having an issue with my old instyler with it leaving hair on the crown of my head standing up making it look frizzy as well as my bangs. I didn't have that issue with the Milana. I think it gives your hair a smoother look and is an upgrade from the previous model. Again I am going to use it the next couple of mornings and will get a better feel for it and will let you all know what I think. If you are currently happy with your current Instyler and have no issues, I'm not sure you will want to spend the money for this new one. That's my opinion right now at least. And to answer one of the questions posted, no this does not come with a stand. It just has the black bag/mat you lay the instyler on. I'll post in a couple days.......

Ok I still really like this new instyler. It has 5 heat settings to choose from, not 4 as I posted before. Really great quality and as I mentioned before, I really like the rubberized smooth coating on it. Very nice!!!!!

since tria was the tsv & not the instyler...did u still get the tsv price or did they just cancel the orders?

baby 21360619717.831609 PostsRegistered 9/14/2011

I contacted Customer Service and the representative couldn't give me a specific reason for their cancelling the presentation on the new Instyler. She also said that it hasn't been rescheduled yet but she will mention it to the Planners. Customers who preordered it should still get it at the TSV price. I was waiting for the presentation so I didn't order it and now the preorder # is no longer working. What a disappointment.

Wow I didn't realize until now they didn't have this as a TSV. How disappointing. I did get mine the TSV price with 5 easy pays. I wonder what happened......

It's now listed in the March edition of the Insider for March 22. Maybe they needed more time.
