I realize that Susan and her team do not have any control over the pricing BUT the $50 bill last fall has turned into a $60 bill this spring.

At what point do you say enough is enough, how high priced can a top go?

Like any item you buy, at what point do you just stop buying?

I stop buying now.

Her clothing is ""cookie cutter"" clothing. The fabric is cheap and the designs are so easy to make.

Somebody's laughing all the way to the bank.

They are considerably less expensive than tops I get at Chico's ... styles and fabrics similar.

It's all about the CPW. For me, $60 is a bit much, unless it's a top that I can wear with ABSOLUTELY everything or if it's a jacket. I would pay $60 for a well made jacket or a dress, but probably not for a top. Is there a top in particular you're considering? Perhaps we can help you find a lesser priced alternative.

I don't mind paying more for something I'm going to wear to work or it's a special occasion, or if it's really unique and high quality. But for casual and weekend clothes $60 is a bit much.

Your finances or lack of them are your problem. I suppose, you stop buying when you can't afford to buy. I have SG in my wardrobe, I don't recall paying $50 for a top and I haven't yet paid $60. But I have paid $79 and $89 for tops at Chico's and J.Jill. Which is why do so much shopping here at the Q.

You stop buying when you tell yourself you just don't need it. Like everything else they try selling us all day and night, do you really need it, do you have room for it, are you really going to wear it or use it?????

I've never bought a SG or Chico's top because $40 is the top (no pun intended) price I would pay for a top. I love the JM brand at Macys and also CSC and Slinky on HSN when they are on sale. Never paid more than $30 for any of them.

$60 to get it home is more than I'll pay. I can afford it, but chose not to spend that much. I prefer to stay under $40 total.
