Bare Traps Pennie Ankle Boot Review A256878

I ordered the Pennie ankle boot in the dark brown option. This style of boot is receiving a one star rating from me because the sole and heel are well made. For me, that's where the quality of this boot ends. The faux leather that has been scrunched/ruched is so distressed that it looks like twill fabric. I can actually see that it is woven. I am returning this boot ASAP because I'm afraid if I get caught in the rain or snow I will start taking on water.

I've been a fan of the Bare Traps brand for several years and own three pair of Bare Traps ankle boots that look as good today as the day I bought them. What happened?
