Did you try DSW? I had a lot of luck last year with almost the same thing you mentioned! They were dressy low heeled shoes for the prom- we even had a backup pair from Payless.

Try 6pm.com ( the overstock place of zappos ) Amazon, Overstock, go directly to the Aerosoles, Naturalizer sites where they're likely to carry 2-2.5" heels... There's tons of online sites to look at; sometimes AKAnn Klein site has them too

I agree with all of the above. You might also want to try Nordstrom.com they have a large shoe department. Also, google exactly what you are looking for and you will get thousands of websites to look at for the shoe. Onlineshoes.com is having a sale today.
