Chocolate Chew Bars

These are so good and nice this time of year for small get togethers when you want some delicious but don't have the time to make cut out cookies or anything complicated. I first discovered them when I needed something for our Needlepoint Class Christmas meeting:

Yummy Needlepoint Class Chocolate Chew Bars

3ggs
2/3 c salad oil
1 lb brown sugar
2-1/2 c flour
1 t baking powder
1 c nuts
12-oz chocolate pieces

Beat eggs. Add oil and sugar; blend well. Mix flour and baking powder; add to first mixture. Add nuts and chocolate; mix thoroughly. Mixture will be stiff. Spread in greased 9" x 13" pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 deg. F. Cut into bars. Yield: 30 bars.
