I made these cookies today, for the first time, and they were very popular. Definitely a keeper! I omitted the nuts, but if you like them, add walnuts, macadamia nuts, or whatever variety you like.

Cranberry Hootycreek Cookies

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1) Preheat oven to 350*F
  • 2) Combine flour, baking soda, and salt
  • 3) In another bowl, cream together butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla
  • 4) Mix flour mixture and oats into the butter mixture. Then add cranberries, chips, and nuts
  • 5) Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet
  • 6) Bake at 350*F for 8-10 minutes
  • Makes approx. 3 dozen cookies

We make these all the time. They are delicious! The family calls them ""crack"" cookies!

Neither of my kids like raisins, so I was surprised that they ate these with the dried cranberries, but they did, and they went quickly!

I forgot there was a cookie exchange forum, so I should have posted there, but...oh well. Not the first time I've goofed Wink
