ARE YOU KIDDING CAKE


Ingredients:
1 box cake mix, any flavor
3 large eggs beaten
1 can pie filling, any flavor


Directions
In bowl, dump dry cake mix, eggs and pie filling.
Stir together until well mixed.

Bake in greased 9x13, 350 degrees for 35 minutes or test with toothpick for doneness.


NOTE: Pair flavors of cake mix and pie filling. Apple filling with maybe butter pecan cake mix. Cherry pie filling with a devil's food cake mix, etc.

I've heard of Dump Cake.......I think it's been discussed here more than once in the past......but I've never made one. This sounds good and I'm going to have to make it, Thanks for posting this!

Interesting, it is different from a dump cake in that you never mixed ingredients in a dump cake--they were layered. Fruit or pie filling first, then the dry cake mix and finally melted butter on top. I used to sprinkle some walnuts on too.

I've been making this cake for several years. My favorite combinations are chocolate fudge cake mix with cherry, yellow cake mix with peaches (add a little nutmeg), white cake mix with blueberry and spice cake mix with apple. Definitely nothing like a dump cake.

My sister made this along with several other desserts and shared the recipe with her guests. It's really easy to make.
