Brownie mix for like .30 cents. Plus, you know what is going into the mix exactly.
Never buy boxed brownie mix again!

Follow the recipe below and make brownies for approximately .30 a mix!

So simple, so easy. Not just frugal but cuts out the unknown ingredients.

1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1/3 Cup Cocoa
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Baking Powder

Store mix in plastic bags or mason jars.

At baking time Add: 2 Eggs, 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil, 1 teaspoon Vanilla.

Bake @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes in an 8x8 or 9x9 pan.

I like to add a tsp. of cinnamon - gives it a nice flavor.

PB chips are nice too! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Is that right, 1 C sugar and only 1/2 C flour?

Homemade is always better than something you buy in a box.

Sure and this is not a really rich recipe like other brownies, such as this one:

Ingredients
Soft butter, for greasing the pan
Flour, for dusting the buttered pan
4 large eggs
1 cup sugar, sifted
1 cup brown sugar, sifted
8 ounces melted butter
11/4 cups cocoa, sifted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Yum sounds good but does sound like a lot of sugar. I love brownies with walnuts. Last box mix I made tasted horrible. It used to be pretty good so they must have changed the ingredients.

if you cut the sugar would you add more flour to replace that

I double-checked, and yes, the ingredients as listed are correct, although one woman said she had to add 1/4 cup of water...but she said the brownies were good.

I'm thinking 8x8 pan when I read the ingredients.

I made them the other day. They satisfied a need for chocolate. I baked them in an 8 x 8 and they were not very high and came out crumbly. I scooped out the pieces and heated up in a bowl in the microwave briefly and topped with a spoonful of carmel topping. I would not make this particular recipe again. I've been with them alone and they haven't called my name so I guess this is a good thing.

Just thinking that a Tablespoon or two of Hershey Syrup in the mix might make them more moist so they wouldn't crumble.
