Looking for Phila style Butter cake

When I was a little girl my Nana used to bring a yummy butter cake that she purchased at a bakery in Phila. It had a yeast dough for the bottom and the top was both buttery and sugary--kinda crunchy because of the sugar. This is NOT the same as the "ooey-gooey cake" that many people make. Anybody out there know of a recipe?
