Tomato And Green Pepper Steak
1 1/2 pounds chuck OR round steak
1/3 cup soy sauce
3/4 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder (go by taste)
2 tablespoons ginger
1/3 cup oil
2 cups green peppers...cut into bite size pieces
3 stalks celery...cut into bite size pieces
2 carrots...cut into bite size pieces
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/3 cup water
4 tomatoes...cut into wedges
Cut steak into bite size chunks. Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder and meat. Set aside while you prepare the vegetables. Heat oil in large frying pan or wok. Add meat and toss over high heat til done ..bout 15-20 minutes or so. Add vegetables. Toss til veggies are tender-crisp..bout 10 minutes. Mix cornstarch with water. Add to pan and stir til thickened. Add tomato wedges and heat through..bout 5 minutes. Serve hot with cooked rice.
