Crusty Chicken Bake

CRUST

1/2 cup butter

1 cup sour cream

1 egg

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon sage OR thyme

FILLING

1/2 cup carrots...chopped

1/4 cup onions...chopped

1/2 cup celery...chopped

2 tablespoons butter

2 cups COOKED chicken...chopped

1 10 3/4 ounce can cream of chicken soup

1 4 ounce jar mushrooms...drained

1 cup cheddar cheese...grated

To make crust, cream butter and sour cream. Add egg and dry ingredients. Mix on low speed of mixer. Spread crust in the bottom of a 9 inch GREASED pie pan. To make filling, saute vegetables in butter til tender. Add chicken, soup and mushrooms. Heat through. Spoon filling into crust. Top with cheese. Bake at 400* for 25-30 minutes. Cut into wedges.
