Oils you put on your skin are absorbed as calories!!!

Who knew! It's scary that this much of what you put on skin is absorbed into the blood stream. I had thought oil molecules were too large to be absorbed into the skin. What do you think?

Skip to the bottom line. I'm not giving this a minute of worry.

The Beauty Brains bottom line

If you use a lot of plant oil containing cosmetics, the MOST calories you could expect to add to your diet is about 100 day. Considering all our assumptions could be about 1/10 of this figure or 10 calories.

I'm more concerned that so much of it gets into the bloodstream. I had thought only nanofied ingredients could get into the bloodstream. I didn't think an oil could make it past the top layer of skin. I will have to read the reference they give on the bottom of the page. At 100 caloies a day though that would add about 11 lbs over a year if nothing else changed.
