Jeanne Bice's Daughter

I still think of Jeanne Bice and smile. Was it ever known what her daughter passed away from? She was young and it was so soon after Jeanne.

I have often wondered that myself....

All I could find with google search was that she died of a broken heart. No other cause of death has been officially released.

what an awful thing to say, if it is not true! some people have to have all the scoop, why someone died, why they died. i find it very odd.

I know for a fact that she had a heart condition possibly inherited from her father A broken heart is not a medical condition.

I also heard that she had had a heart problem for a good while.

Please "google" Broken Heart Syndrome, I have a friend who presented with this and was hospitalized and was very sick when her husband died last year. She could not travel, and was in a very fragile condition for months.

Yes, it is a very medical condition. Look it up. I had it for years after I lost my son.

I don't know if it is a medical condition or not but I know it does happen. We had a family friend who lost his wife to cancer. They were inseparatable. When she passed he donated a memorial garden in her honor, went to the ceremony and within two weeks he also was gone. We never knew him to be ill from anything. His son said he wanted to join her. I often sit in this garden and think of them both.

I think it happens quite often. If you are at a cemetery you will see many gravestones where spouses die within months of each other. Last year there was a case in our neighborhood where a young woman died in a car crash. Her brother, with whom she was very close, never I'll, died a week later.

But why not say in the articles a heart failure, etc..

strange not one article says the medical reason of death.

ITA. .Many years ago I processed medical claims for a the retired segment of a large group. A trend we saw, after the holidays one spouse would pass away and within a month or so the surviving spouse would pass away.

I know of a dog that died of a broken heart when his family went away on vacation for 2 weeks and left him home...

My husbands cousin passed away, she was elderly, and within hours her daughter passes away, they were very close, They were both in the same funeral parlor side by side.

I have heard of 2 close people dying within a short period of each other. It may not be medically true but I believe it can happen. My fathers parents died 3 weeks apart, they were never without each other.

Wish they would release an official cause of death on the daughter.

Btw, I had a cat who died of a broken heart, 5 weeks after only other (older) cat died. He was her buddy. After he died, my female cat was miserable; very tense & whiney. And every night after we went to bed for the night, she searched the entire place in the pitch dark looking for her buddy, crying the whole time. I'd go find her, pick her up and carry her to bed, comforting her. She searched & cried every night for 5 weeks. Then one day, when my hubby was holding her, she died in his arms; no warning, no prior illness...and she was only 6 years old.

colliegirls, no I do not think that there was ever an 'official' cause of death announced in the press.

I had a soft-spot for Jeanne (as I am positively sure sooo many did) and to have her daughter Terry (who mainly went by the name 'Lee') pass away 3-weeks-to-the-day later, was just heartbreaking; at least I think so. :( Lee was just 47 and it was Very Very evident that she and her Mama were Extremely close; they did these cute video's together in Jeanne's home and you could just 'see, hear and feel' the Love they had for oneanother.

Of course I believe that a person can die of a Broken Heart. I also believe that animals can do the same. LOVE. And with that, can come Loss; which some just cannot survive.

Miss you Jeanne. Knowing that both you and Lee are fashionably dressing up all the Angels in Heaven...{#emotions_dlg.wub}

Catbaglover,

I was very touched by your story. I have two senior cats and it makes me wonder what will happen when one passes. You must have been in mourning for quite some time with 2 losses. My heart goes out to you.

Can that term also mean someone that took their own life. Maybe that's why they didn't release any information. I'm not saying that's what happened, I've just always wondered.

It was told that she died of a "broken heart", very tragic indeed! I don't understand why some of you cannot accept this!

BonnieBelle, I have wondered that as well!

Often when no cause of death is mentioned it is to protect the family due to a suicide. I hope that is not the case, it would make Jeanne and Lee's passing even more painful.

Thanks, Cece. Yes, I'm still in disbelief, even though they've been gone for a year now. A picture of the two of them is on my pc desktop, so it's an omni-present reminder. Thanks for your warmth and understanding, btw.

After my husband died I had 4 cats die very quickly. Different reasons. Three were 14 and 17 years old. My husband died in my arms after we'd just 13 days ago celebrated 38 years together. We'd just gotten back from the beach with daughters, sons-in-law, 2 then granddaughters and a couple who'd been best friends for 36 years. We all talk about him as if he's still around. We totally honor his memory. He was the force we got our strength from. I never missed a beat. I used to talk about how unfair it was that such a wonderful man would die. About Jeanne's daughter. There are some people who Just hurt, not more than others, just feel the pain inward more than others. I couldn't take long to grieve. Two of my daughters needed my strength to get them through his death. My daughter named her son my husband's first and last name. Sometimes she calls out to him by my husband's name and we all just stop, take a breath and continue. S0,,,let's do this..let's just prefer to think that Jeanne and her daughter are happy in heaven!
