Judy Crowell left JTV

I noticed Judy wasn't doing the Stratify shows the last two weeks and read on her blog that she's left JTV.

What's left? Liquidation Channel?

Thought she left to work w her DH. Never thought she was a good fit at JTV. She's not hard sell.

I always liked Judy and wish she was back on QVC. She's a lot better than some of the other hosts.

Yes, she was way too low key for JTV. They are a harsh crowd over there.

I get this channel, and I agree. What a crew! Now I hear Pam McCoy will be there, selling jewelry. I guess she follows Judy's exit. McCoy's delivery is far from shrill!

I used to really like Judy. But, over the years, she's gone crazy with all of these employment changes. I find it ridiculous. I don't know whether she's actually responsible for all of this or if Paul has something to do with her changing jobs all the time. He doesn't want competition from his wife? I don't know, but I no longer want her back at the Q. And, yes, she's a good and classy host, but something's wrong with her.

I have the same thoughts, Sunnybrook.

It just seems to me she was with the Q for a very long time and then once she married Paul, she is all over the map with not having a job for a few years (this could be due to a non-compete clause in her contract), then all these odd jobs here and there and then pushing fashion on HSN and then jewelry JTV.

It does give you pause for thought that they don't seem to stick in any one place for very long. Are they difficult to work with? Do they think they are worth more than they are and can't negotiate a new contract effectively? It's very odd.

It reminds me of Matt Roloff of Little People, Big World. Always on to the next big idea.

I used to have neighbors where the husband was a big "idea guy." He had a new scheme every week it seems. Different jobs every few months, starting home businesses every few months between jobs, all kinds of inventions. It made your head spin. His wife went along but I could see it taking it's toll financially on them. They eventually lost their house and had their cars repossessed and moved in with their inlaws (with their 2 babies).

I love Judy and definitely wish that she were back on the Q. Not sure why all of the job changes, but.......................still would love to see her present products. She was an asset to QVC in the past and would definitely be one today!

Judy and Paul were never my favorites when they were at QVC. I always felt they both knew about their products, but I just didn't connect with them - and those were the days I often tuned into QVC for entertainment and company.

Even before Judy was with Paul, I would have been happy to see her move on. I don't think that means there's anything really wrong with her (or him), but I just don't see either one as a shopping channel host. In a way I see them the same way I see shopping channel buyers who are afraid to admit they buy from QVC or HSN, etc. There's just my feeling they weren't being true to themselves.

Pam Mc Coy surely is way too refined for JTV, yikes!!!

I love the name of the show Turn Table Tango. Just cracks me up.

I can remember when she was on CNN in the morning. She has a great voice! Very smooth, never raises voice, screetches, or yells (when she was on Q). She had that perfect newscaster voice.

Is there any shopping channel she hasn't been on? Maybe it's time to think of a career change?

I've always thought Judy was a good presenter, but she does seem to have some bad luck with finding her niche. I think she's super intelligent and thoughtful, and it may be that she's always found herself thrust into being the "face" in the process because she can do it so well, when she might well fit better as the "brain." It can take awhile to find where you really belong. . .you see actors who learn that they're happier behind the camera, or teachers who really belong in administration. I don't think she's flighty or temperamental or has "something wrong."

There may be some "trailing spouse" issues here, nobody's fault. The economy and circumstances at all the networks may play various parts, too.

If you look at all the personnel, industry-wide, there's a lot of movement. Very few people come aboard and stay permanently in the same spots.

Whatever happened to the thing where she and Paul were building a recording studio into their Florida home? She was supposed to start doing voice-overs? That was way back when the two of them first left Q and went to HSN. Anyone else remember that? I always thought she would do well with that as she has such a pleasant speaking voice.

If you read Judy's blog. She had an apartment where she stayed while on JTV. Maybe it was not cost effective for her to maintain an apartment and a house. For all we know she could have been let go or she just didn't like it. Her clothing line didn't last too long at ShopNBC probably didn't sell well. Kathy Levine's clothing line at HSN lasted a short time as well.

Her husband seems to do well on ShopNBC maybe his in got her the clothing line. Her speciality was coats/jackets.

Her husband Paul was from Florida and Judy's parents live there. It's tough in today's economy to start over.

Judy is to refined for the QVC that has evolved since she left. She and Lisa Mason would never fit in now. Neither of them have the screechy voice and perform the antics that the host that are on now do.

She certainly thinks she is! Found her to be so pretentious with all her conversations about their trips and jewelry purchases. Had to stop watching!

I've always really liked Judy, truly one of my favs. Since she & Paul left the q and got married and is doing their own ting now, I think she's done herself a favor by leaving jtv. I've tuned into jtv and find it extremely so NOT like Judy, very UNprofessional.

Paul does his thing on shop nbc and has been for some time now and does it very well. Who wouldn't want to do what he does - digging for gems and jewels! I'd love to do this! And it appears that Judy joins him on at least some of his digs.

I pulled up Judy on FB and see that she hasn't changed a bit - every bit as beautiful as she always was. I especially love the photo of her dressed in white/ivory while decorating her lovely white/ivory tree.

Judy was a definite favorite, and I've missed her since she left. I also respected Paul's clear knowledge of gems.

But I agree with Retired08, neither Judy nor Lisa Mason would fit in with the wierd goings on at QVC these days. It seems to me that some "younger thinking" folks have taken over and they must think that wiggling and jiggling and screaming and laughing at nothing are the new ways to sell. It dos nothing for me except speed me to the remote.

Thankgoodness for Carolyn, Jill and the Dans. And sometimes Lisa R. No one else I can watch comfortably.

I would love to see Judy come back to QVC. So many hosts and vendors have moved from station to station, but I can't recall any that have left one and come back later. She has a very nice voice that seems good for voice over work also. Perhaps if QVC started bringing some former hosts and vendors back they could capitalize on the good memories many long-time viewers have and lure those viewers back with nostalgia.

First off Judy & Paul were going to build their own "gem business" when they left HSN, unfortunately, it came when the country saw the worst economical melt down. Paul went on to SHOP and as you know, Judy did her clothing line, which obviously didn't do very well. I never could see her at JTV, she has far too much class and I'm sure the travel was getting a bit too much as well.

I never worry about Judy or Paul, they will prevail in whatever they do.

They are two go-getters with no grass growing under their feet. They'll always do well and they make a beautiful couple too. With gens & jewels they'll never go hungry that's for sure - I admire them both. Would love to do what they - or at least Paul does. I'd have no problem getting down & dirty searching for gems old & new discoveries!

Always loved Judy and how she presented a product. I would love to see her come back to QVC!!

I miss the good old days of QVC. I could think about my purchases better with hosts who explained the product in a calm, mature way. I do not watch anymore. I check in online and read reviews, look at some videos and read the forum. I am easily convinced to buy items I really don't need so I stay away from live broadcasts. It never used to be that way for me.
