Like a boy scout, we all need to BE PREPARED------with a little over five months to go until Christmas, ${#emotions_dlg.biggrin}$ QVC's promo reads--"Sneak a peek at what's coming up for the season ahead and find everything you'll need for decorating and entertaining for the holidays, including festive trim and decor, delicious gourmet food and treats, the hottest toys of the season, and more.".......

However, the only thing you will see is MORE Flash Games, Race Cars, Bliss Lights, Bethlehem Light Window Candles, fake snow balls, and Valerie Parr Hill Wreaths.....why you'll be singing DECK THE HALLS with this CHRISTMAS IN JULY-SALE PREVIEW! Yep its another round of none of the joy, and all of the craziness....

Good gravy... doesn't moms ever go on vacation and let someone else dream up the weekend programming, though I guess nightmare is the operative word...

Now, as for our reigning queen, if ONLY she did use gemstones... Unfortunately, despite the occasional foray into real gems, her majesty has pretty much become the sitting monarch in charge of fake diamonds... and over-priced fake diamonds, at that... My gosh, virtually every piece she brings is festooned with 'the world's finest simulated diamond' - aka: cubic zirconia... - And yes, unless the cackling, gushing, fawning lady in waiting is to be presenting along side our queen, the jester's flag will probably be flying over the palace along side that of her royal higness, since the princess royal would appear to actually be on vacation... Why oh why didn't she take moms with her...? On second thought, who can blame her for wanting to escape, however briefly!

Another no-Q zone of a weekend... and this time around, I'm probably even skipping the Dooney show. I mean really, they've become as routine, boring and predictable as everything else on Q, though at least they're not 'devices'...

As always, more stale than week old bread... Good job moms.

The CIJ offerings have been predictably disappointing. You just knew running this promotion all month was going to mean nothing more than a convenient way for them to fill hours of programming time otherwise devoted to the same stale usual suspects... Instead, it's devoted to the same stale holiday themed offerings... I'm still hopeful that when they have the actual CIJ weekend we might actually see at least a few NEW and different items. I suppose it's possible we won't and that they'll just keep showing these same tired things throughout mid December, but my gosh, at some level you have to hope there's at least a bit more to QVC these days than this! Maybe not...

I slept through the Queen's midnight show....(wow what a "lowly" fan am I...) but I am watching Nancy doing the 3am presentations....only because she is working alone...and I don't have to listen to JR and her co-hort Beth....both so phony....

Surprised there's no Philosophy this weekend. Can't get enough of those "Consumer Perception" studies they tout when showing their over-priced products. Consumer "Perception?" What the heck is that about? Can you imagine the questionnaire? "After applying a glob of our goop, does your skin appear to look smoother?" What a load of hooey.

The bowl of suds and incessant Graces commandeered the Q's airwaves all day yesterday... Now, aren't you sorry you missed it!

Ah, yes, The Dreaded D Days on the Q (yet again). UGGH! I happily missed suds in a bowl. yesterday, and when I saw Marm was back - it was *remote time*! I'm sure she'll be on with The Queen today, and the Jester will probably be part of the Queen's Court, too. That man o' Spurt's, I haven't seen him for weeks. Smile DH asked me if David's show was going to be a rerun on Sunday. My answer: Probably. ${#emotions_dlg.laugh}$ He likes to watch the Masterbuilt Smoker, and muses about all the things we can cook in it (as he's drooling), then he saw the price and said, "Don't you Dare"! No problemo... ${#emotions_dlg.w00t}$
