I have a question about Philosophy's spritz.

I've been meaning to ask this and always forget about the Philosophy forum. Anyway, I have two Philosophy Spritz in the 8 fluid oz. bottles. I purchased these about 5-6 years ago, would they still be okay to use? Does this type product go rancid? I smelled both of them and they seem fine to me. I really don't remember the original scent of these and the reason for asking. I've kept them in my closet where the towels are, so there hasn't been much light to get to them. Thanks.
