Is there any Philosophy products that help Keratosis Pilaris. I have been living with these bumps on my legs for years. I dont wear shorts or bathing suits. It looks like I have permanent goosebumps on my legs
I used to get that on my upper arms off and on. I swear since using Philosophy products I almost never have it. My derm gave me a huge bottle of something for it and it never worked. She said it's common.
I am plagued by this too and it seems to get worse with age! I have found that Amlactin lotion works great. It is sold at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS etc. It used to be a prescription but is now over the counter. It costs around $13 for 8 oz. The Philosophy microdelivery peel pads with the lactic acid work too but they are rather expensive to use on a large area.
The Amlactin lotion is 12% lactic acid. It works really good but you have to use it regularly to keep it under control. Once under control, I can alternate with my Philosophy lotions and just use the Amlactin every other day or so. If I quit using the Amlactin, it comes right back again.
I use M2 Body Lotion from the old MaMa line, contains high amounts of AHA and really ehlps.
I have been plagued by this too nearly all my life. I agree about the Amlactin. Have been using for a few months. It works great! works at its best used twice a day. Has worked wonders on my cracked feet also. Sometimes takes a week or 2 for full results if feet are badly cracked.
Found 16 oz bottles at Costco for $18.00! great deal!
Amlactin works like a charm!
I use the Kerasol pumice paste (drugstore.com or found it at my Albertsons) with a body buffing pad. It really helps! Also, try Paula's Choice BHA lotion. The salicylic acid works wonders.
My skin improved when I started using Philosophy body emulsion. Also, I have seen a product with DERMAdoctor called KP Duty and it is sold on QVC.com item #A209394. I have not used this but did hear about it. You can read the customer reviews on QVC.com, and also on the DERMAdoctor website read more about the product in detail.
I've had a lot of success with Eucerin's smoothing lotion.
