I read this today in my local newspaper and thought it might be interesting to others as well:

Male:

10. Sawyer

9. Jack

8. Hudson

7. Finn

6. Emerson

5. Bear

4. Puppy

3. Max

2. Kai

1. Cooper

Female:

10: Elsa

9. Bella

8. Stella

7. Quinn

6. Sophie

5. Ivy

4. Charlie

3. Aurora

2. Avery

Many of these are also in the most popular baby names list, so that proves that animals really are our babies. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

I don't like a lot of those names. I can't imagine naming a dog Puppy or Emerson. I do like people names for dogs.

We were once at a greyhound adoption center, and they had dogs named Picklenose and Kinky. We adopted Kinky but called him King. I hope poor Picklenose had a name change.

I don't either, but for some reason they're popular pet names. I don't care if I ever hear of another animal that is named Bella, LOL. Bella is a pretty name, but ever since the Twilight movie series with the lead character's name of Bella, dogs, cats, and children all over creation are being given that name. It's getting too common.

I guess that's the way it is when a movie or TV show gets very popular. When I was in school and Happy Days was on the air, people were naming their dogs and cats Fonzie. Now you don't hear it anymore. Another popular pet name is Jax. I couldn't figure out where everyone was getting it until I recently started watching Sons of Anarchy. One of the lead actors (and hunk!) is named Jax. Wink

Charlie is a sporty nickname for Charlotte, as well as a unisex name on its own.
