Did you have teachers who....

... swore in front of his/her students?

I did.

And today I almost did it too. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

No. A lot of them were nuns.

What happened to make you so angry?

I wasn't feeling very well and there was just constant little things that continued to get on my nerves. Being disrespectful, not listening, using their pencils as drumsticks....

Re: Did you have teachers who....

Yes, I have.

I also had a social studies teacher in 10th grade (1986) that used to come to school drunk. Now the students knew it so I know teachers had to know it. He would give us chapters to read and pass out. He would sleep right through the bell. He eventually got a DWI after smashing into another car and injuring people but he was back to teach after a small vacation.

Re: Did you have teachers who....

I, too, had nuns and wouldn't doubt they swore under their breath. As a retired teacher who works as a substitute teacher, I never swore or used any type of improper language. I don't care how much a student, or group of students, causes you frustration, there is never an excuse for improper language. I have witnessed teachers humiliate students in front of the class which is totally inexcusable. I would always talk with the student privately. We are the adult professionals and part of our job is to model appropriate behavior for those placed in our care. It is our place to raise them up, not knock them down. Just mho. docsgirl

Swearing is a swore spot for some teachers.
