Transcendence (new Johnny Depp movie)

Did anyone else see Transcendence with Johnny Depp?

Its not doing well and I guess critics aren't loving it. BUT I never listen to critics and judge for myself.

SO today after going out to dinner- My husband and I went to see it.

My husband thought it was OK and said he "didn't get it all"

I really liked it.

It makes you think about the future and technology and would you want some of the good that happened in the movie to happen or not in the future? (as in is it going too far?). Well I don't want to give it away but I love Johnny Depp, and I love technology so to me this movie was good!

Special bonus; Because it was Easter there was only 1 other person in the theatre. So my husband & an empty theatre with no blabbing people & Johnny Depp = perfect! lol.

Yeah, used to like him but lately . . . Not so much. I liked his old quirky roles and he just seems so ordinary now, boring and predictable. Marrying young doesn't mean you will be young . . >On 4/20/2014 Today's said:

He has always seemed sexy to me in an odd sort of way. I like his movies.

The idea of human soul uploading into technology is an old, old scifi theme. Lawnmower Man was a twist on the theme. Maybe I watch too much sci fi but it doesn't seem like gotta watch to me.
