Do you have a spooky movie that you really liked?

I get stuck on The Mothman Prophecies EVERY TIME!

The original When a Stranger Calls with Carol Kane. OMG, when I saw that in the movie theater, I got so startled at the climax that I grabbed the arm of the man sitting beside me, a man whom I had never met before. {#emotions_dlg.lol}

I've also watched a few others more than once

Carrie (Sissy Spacek version)
The Fury
Halloween
Silence of the Lambs

Stephen King's, It and Salem's Lot were pretty scary. To this day, I refuse to watch Salem's Lot again. But they are still among my favorites.

I also thought the original "When a Stranger Calls" was better then the remake but that's how I usually anyway.

I will add

The Omen - Gregory Peck

The Shining

The Uninvited- Ray Milland

There's an old movie from the 1940's "The Uninvited" with Ray Milland, it's just a really good old fashioned ghost story. TCM runs it sometimes and if you're into movies from the 1940's try to catch it.

There are a few good ones that recently came out on DVD: Babadook, Annabelle and Ouija. I liked these three a lot.

Just saw "The Gambler", original 1974 version with James Caan. Based on a true story, it's creepy and disturbing. Dostoevskyesque
