does anyone know if Linda is still married, I remember in the past how she stated her husband was her rock and last week when she was on I thought I heard her say she hurt her back or something when she tried putting away the tree and then she said "who needs a man". I'm am not too crazy about her I liked the other young lady who shared the Liz presentations. but going way back she always seemed to be in background of some show with the computer it appeared to me someone was looking for a way to keep her around maybe her friend Jayne Brown.

I think her husband died. Shortly after she started at QVC.

Her husband died a couple of years ago I think. He was only in his 50's I believe.

Thank you the way she stated (who needs a man) the other day I figured maybe they had divorced

QVC really likes her as she has been put into several differents lines. He husband died of some kind of cancer so it is nice she still has a job.

Please don't put me in a timeout.

From what I've observed over the years, Linda Davies is a really really really really nice person!!! I think she's endeared herself to not only the QVC staff but to the PTB as well. I think she does a terrific job and always looks soooooooooo put together! And, did I mention that she's a really nice person!! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I am sorry to hear that Linda is a widow.

I am glad that she has a job also and I wish that would 'train' her, on a trial period (like all other hosts) to see how she would fair on her own. I actually do not think that she needs to just be a 'fashion friend'; hey, I could be wrong{#emotions_dlg.confused1}, but why not giver her a go at it. She seems to 'have' to follow the flow of conversation that the other two have.
She most certainly is nicely put-together, comes across a personable nice person, probably know the 'ropes' better than a total newcommer and at least for me...I say give her a 'chance'!!

I like her; I do realize however, that there are probably many factors that go into becoming a host

I like her too and I'm so sorry to hear her husband died. I'm glad QVC kept her since she has children to support and herself.

Maybe she doesn't want to be full time like the other hosts. Since she is a single mom she probably needs to be home a lot more with her kids. I think she said one of them was 15 and I can't imagine her having the night shift leaving teenagers home along.

It does appear that they got rid of Skyler.

Linda sounded really hoarse when I saw her last, and I remember that just recently she was off the air for awhile because she had lost her voice. I hope it's nothing serious. But for someone that makes their living talking, it could be a huge problem .

Skyler? Did I miss a new host being trained??{#emotions_dlg.confused1}

(think me is just too much on the puter!! I do have the 'live' capability on my puter; does everyone?)

Yeah, I think she was sick. I like Linda a lot. Sick days come in handy for just those occasions. I remember having to listen to Lisa a while back, and it's just not pleasant for the viewers.

Hi moondust:

Linda is no longer a fashion friend, she has a permanent position with Liz Claiborne as the QVC rep for their line.

I agree that she would make a good host...she's attractive and articulate and not given to fits of laughter or craziness. I think she'd make a great addition to the QVC team.

Hi Maria! I probably am having another one of those 'foggy' days/months/Years??....I Forgot! that she is the rep for Liz...my bad{#emotions_dlg.blushing}.

I agree!! I like that she is not given to fits of laughter or craziness or way too many 'giggles'; she is quite a Pretty Lady and conducts herself just wonderfully!!

Since I am A Lot more on the puter these days (can do QVC Live), but no longer have the tele playing in the background in the morn'; Linda really not doing the 'fashion friend' thing with Jayne and Pat??

I saw Schuyler on the other morning. She's still around.

Yes, I agree that Linda would be a welcome host. She's always been easy to watch and not over the top in any way. I wonder if Skylar will be back on. Didn't think they gave her a real shot at the position.

Yes, I remember reading somewhere that Linda's husband lost his battle to cancer not that long ago. Wish her and her children well.

Linda is doing a fantastic job today on her LCNY TSV shows Feb. 1. She is co-hosting with Mary Beth today. Lots of energy today. Linda is usually more reserved.

Linda's hubby had lung cancer, I think he was 52 when he passed away.

While I always thought that Linda would make a great host, I have the feeling that she doesn't want to be a host. It could be that being a single parent, she doesn't want to work as many hours as a host does. It could also be that her forte is fashion and if she was a host she would be presenting a lot more than just fashion. I'm glad she found something other than "Fashion Friend" because it always seemed to be an unnecessary position.

I'm quite sure Linda's husband died from lung cancer just about a year ago. With four children it must be very tough. I remember her first day back after a short leave of absence and thought she handled a difficult situation with grace and class. She is a real pro and has my admiration.

I like Linda Davies!! I am glad QVC found a spot for her after the Modern Soul line left. She seems really happy with Liz Claiborne!

I love her! She has a name very similar to mine and I always wanted red hair. She seems like a lovely person.
