Cucumbers and sour cream

Exactly. Most of the time, since I like it, I add dill weed.

Also, to the OP ~ drain the cukes well to get the moisture out. I use the English cucumbers as they do not have seeds.

My dad made this eons ago when I was a kid. It had cucumbers, sour cream, a bit of vinegar, a tiny bit of sugar (makes a difference), salt & pepper to taste and thinly sliced onion. Now I'm craving some.

In the summer my mom sliced cucumbers, S&P, onions, white vinegar, sugar and dill weed. No sour cream at all in that one.

Ingredients:
1 large Cucumber, washed & sliced thin
1/4 cup Red Onion, sliced thin
½ cup sour cream
1 or 2 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
Sea salt and pepper

Directions:
Whisk together Sour cream, White Wine Vinegar, Sugar & lightly sprinkle with Sea salt and Pepper. Stir in Cucumbers and Onion. Served Chilled.

If you like you can also add Fresh Dill ~ thinly sliced Fennel ~ Grape-Tomatoes.

2 cucumbers, peeled and sliced thin

1/2 cup onion, sliced thin

1/2 cup mayo

1/2 cup cream (or sour cream, or half&half)

1/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup apple vinegar

fresh ground pepper and salt

Whisk together mayo, cream, sugar and vinegar. Add to cukes and onions and chill several hours before serving.

I make it with sliced cucumbers, diced up red onions, radishes sliced very thin, garlic salt, lemon pepper and then I add sour cream and stir it all up then put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before I serve it.
