I want to make a layered salad for Christmas dinner. I haven't made one in years. I don't remember tossing the salad before serving, but have read recipes online that say to toss it beforehand. Just wondering what anyone else does here? I don't remember my sister tossing it when she made it, but the tossing does make sense. Thanks in advance.

I make a seven layer salad and have never heard of tossing it. I like the looks of layers.

Definitely do not toss, just layer and enjoy.

Don't toss, but you gotta dig down deep to be sure to get all the layers. YUM!

As long as you don't toss, it will keep better if there are leftovers. Once you toss, if there are leftovers it will become a wilted unappetizing mess.

My seven-layer salad is six layers, and if I had my way it would be five; my son would like four lol

I lost my recipe years ago and your posts made me want it again! Could someone post the recipe for 7 ( or 6 or 5) layer salad? Thank you!
