July 23 Today is NATIONAL HOT DOG DAY AND VANILLA ICE CREAM DAY !!!

I like pretzel dogs made with a pretzel dough recipe using Nathan's hot dogs. That's the only way I can eat Nathan's because I think they are too salty. Other then that I would rather eat a beef brat by itself. I like vanilla ice cream plain. I don't eat much ice cream as it bothers my stomach. Now Gelato is another story & it does not bother my stomach. Must be because it has less fat. Love Telenti Gelato.

I like my hot dog with ketchup & pickled onion or pickled radish.

I like my vanilla ice cream with roasted macadamia nuts.

I like a Kosher hot dog with brown spicy mustard and chopped onions. Haven't had one yet this summer.

My local market had fresh local boysenberries last week and I had them with Danish vanilla ice cream from Snoqualmie. Delicious.

All beef hot dog on a poppy seed bun

Yellow mustard (NEVER KETCHUP)

Chopped white onions

Bright green pickle relish

Two dill pickle spears

Tomato slices or wedges

Pickled Sport Peppers

Celery Salt

In Chicago, when you order it just say "A hot dog dragged through the garden."

I'm a purist.

A locally made Hemplers hot dog on an Avenue Bread Company bun, with a little mustard.

Ice cream...My favorite Vanilla is from Lopez Island Creamery, or Straus Vanila (both local brands).

I like my hot dogs with mustard relish, sauerkraut and diced onions. My favorite topping on ice cream is Marshmallow it's the best.
