I made a carrot soufflé on Sunday,but had the hardest time telling if it was done. It was a long time since I'd made a soufflé. I knew better than to open the door before cooking time ended,but how else can I tell if it's done? I do the cake tester thing,but anything else to do/ look for? I simply forget! Thanks!

I do the cake tester method.I have never had one fall on me yet.
