Honey Crisp Apples Are Here!!!

Oh my goodness, I bought my first Honey Crisp for this year yesterday at Kroger. The whole aisle smelled delicious, now my kitchen smells wonderful. They are the best....{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Another happy honeycrisper here! They were at our Redners on Sunday....$1.98 a pound which is a really good price in this area. Not telling how many apples I bought.

You got yours much more reasonably priced than mine. $2.99 per pound, so I didn't buy but a few. Still, every bite is worth it. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

I like them, too, as well as Gala.

Hubby loves Honey Crisps, he'll be so happy to know they're out. Me, I'm a Stamin Winesap kind of a gal.

Re: Honey Crisp Apples Are Here!!!

I must be the only one. I bought two of these apples, last year, based on recommendations from this board and really didn't like them. They weren't awful or anything, but just nowhere near as good as a Gala.

Fortunately, I had only purchased a couple so, between the bird, the dog, and I, we were able to finish them off within a couple of weeks. Smiley Happy

Re: Honey Crisp Apples Are Here!!!

Are these more cooking apples? Cause they are being compared to Gala and I have only ever cooked with Gala. Thanks
