To Make Stuffed Peppers Do You Par Bil Your Peppers?

I always boiled my peppers for making stuffed peppers but the lady I work with says she never boils her peppers first she just stuffs them and bakes and they come out soft. Every recipe says par boil first does anyone here not boil the peppers?

I'm not much of a cook, but I have fixed stuffed peppers from time to time. I've never par-boiled them. They always came out just fine.

I have always par boiled peppers for stuffed peppers. Hmmm....wonder if you would have to bake them longer if you don't par boil first...interesting.

We just stuff and bake and they are great. I have never boiled them first...

How long do you bake them for and what temp?

Nope, no parboiling. Prepare the meat stuffing. Clean the peppers, stuff, and bake.

I don't do much cooking but I do make stuffed peppers and lasagna. I don't boil my peppers; just stuff and bake. Ditto for the lasagna, I used to boil that first but not anymore.

How would you stuff them if they are pre boiled and all soft? Anyway I always make stuffed peppers by stuffing them raw and putting them in the crock pot.

She doesn't cook them until they are soft; she just blanches them in the hot water. Which is what my mom did when she made her stuffed peppers.
