David will like this day!!!
I like to cook mine on the microwave cooker called Makin Bacon, sold way back when on the 50/50 tour. They sell them at Walmart, where the microwave items are. Just put the bacon on the "T" racks and all of the grease drips down into the tray. So good this way!!!
Being a Southern cook, I save the bacon grease to season with.
I love a good BLT sandwich, or put the bacon on toast/jelly.

I thought today was August 25th, or are we planning ahead? I like bacon all ways, although I don't cook it in the microwave. I have an awesome griddle pan that cooks bacon so that it doesn't crinkle up. Funny because I planned on cooking some bacon later today to make a bacon/pea layered salad. My most favorite bacon is "back bacon" (I'm English) but it's difficult to find here unless you special order it. Not sure why it isn't popular, it's so delicious... sort of like a cross between regular bacon and Canadian bacon... it's ohhhh so good! I'm not sure there is a bad way to have bacon. I've heard of bacon beer, and bacon ice cream, and even chocolate dipped bacon strips (have not tried any of those). Bacon should be it's own food group...YUM! Don't tell the pigs about August 31st.

Crisp, next thing to burned. I don't eat it often but enjoy it when I do.

Awww, I was just kidding, I think every day should be bacon day and nothing wrong with posting ahead, very thoughtful. I look forward to your "food of the day" posts. I hope your surgery goes well and that you have a speedy recovery. Will be thinking good thoughts for you.
