What's your go-to recipe when the family (or you) needs a quick dessert?

What's your go-to recipe for an easy to prepare treat? I'm thinking baked goods, but any easy to prepare recipe will be much appreciated.

Thank you. Smile

A slice of Angel food cake with sweetened strawberries(fresh or frozen) and whip cream. I also make a peach cobbler with canned peaches. Bakes while were eating dinner and I serve warm later on in the evening with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if we have it. Prep is pretty quick too. Cherry cobbler with a crumb topping is good too. I've seen recipes on Food.com with Bisquick topping also. Monkey bread. I usually use frozen bread dough but can be made with canned biscuits.

One cup of cream, two cups of frozen fruit...high speed in VITAMIX for about twenty seconds , voila....healthy soft ice cream (:

This is what I do also. I use Sarah Lee pound cake, makes it even easier.

Besides, fresh, you can also use frozen fruit for the pound/angel food cake w/ berries & whipped cream ("Reddi Whip Extra Creamy" is yummy too, BTW).

Just thaw them out a little in the microwave. A bag of mixed or blended frozen fruit is delicious also.

Use a graham cracker or Oreo crust and put softened ice cream in it, then freeze. Can put chocolate sauce, strawberry, marshmallow etc topping on it. Yummy!

A quick dessert? I rip the lid off of a carton of ice cream.

Remember when ice cream came in boxes? Just me?

I think I'd do the Strawberry Pie from Kraft that I came across last year. Well received and very pretty too.
