Is there a yogurt lower in calories and not so sweet?

I am looking for a yogurt that is lower in calories and also not so sweet!

Any suggestions?

Ever since I got sick, I can't stand the taste of overly sweet or salty things.

I hope someone here has some suggestions for me. Thanks!

you can try mixing half greek with the yogurt that is too sweet, I do that, it cuts the cals and sugar but you get some of the flavor

when you say mixing half greek --- do you mean just plain greek - no flavoring -- with a regular yogurt? Just want to make sure I understand. Thanks.

You can just get the plain yogurt and add your own fruit to it.

I'd try Fage Greek nonfat plain yogurt--low in calories--100 for 6 ounces-18 grams of protein, no fat and 7 grams of sugar (low for yogurt)

I'd add in Stevia or Splenda, cinnamon and vanilla! It's really yummy!

take half a container of the "sweet yogurt SY" and mix with equal amounts of GY (greek yogurt plain , save the rest of the SY for later.

Re: Is there a yogurt lower in calories and not so sweet?

I admit to being lazy. That's why I purchase brands that are already "put together." Plus, with, all the tons of yogurts out there, I just figured there had to be some that were not very sweet and more tart, maybe.

But, I will try your suggestions, as I am starting to get turned off by yogurt. And I eat it for my health, plus, it's a good little healthy snack!

If you get a large container of the plain greek, can you add things all at once and it won't get funny, if you don't eat it all at once?

Thanks so much!

jackthebear: Thank u for clarifying that!

I am definitely trying these things. I just don't know why they must make all the yogurts so darn sweet! I am buying the plain greek and doctoring it up as you all have suggested. If I can find some low fat granola, that would be good, too, and healthy!

Now, I am starting to get excited! I think there are a lot of things I could do without a lot of trouble!

Thanks for giving me some incentive!

I mix a plain greek yogurt with a regular flavored one -- 200 calories.

Sometimes a mix fruit and splenda with plain greek yogurt.

My dh and I both love Carbmaster. 60 calories for 6 oz. Vanilla is my fave.
