read in the business pages of the newspaper today that Kraft Foods has announced there may be a temporary shortage of Velveeta in the next few weeks. No reason was given. If you plan to make queso dip for your Super Bowl party, you may want to grab a box soon. There was plenty when I shopped at Walmart Tuesday.

Could it be sales are in a slump for Velveeta? Are people finally realizing a cheese tasting product that can sit on a shelf for years is not really cheese……I agree marketing ploy.

I buy it for broccoli cheese dip is all. I don't think I've made it for a couple years.

I buy the slab to make my cheese sauce for macaroni and cheese and I am beyond annoyed that they don't have the lite one anymore, just the regular one.
