I don't understand how one day a pkg of mini cucumbers can be 3.49 and the next day $6.99!!! One single seedless cucumber is $3.49. I thought I was seeing things. It's so ridiculous.

Wow! What part of the country do you live in? Here in the mid west, I just paid $1 for a large seedless cucumber. They were on sale, but have been about $1.50 each lately. Food prices are rising no matter what area you live in, but it seems we have some of the best prices nationwide, in this area.

I don't understand that jump in those cucumbers either, just crazy. I almost wonder if it was a mistake? To double in price overnight seems excessive. Where I live, we also have more empty shelves than we use to.

I was at Kroger today. $18 for a 3.8 pound beef CHUCK roast. Pork was $2.99 and $1.99 a pound, depending upon the cut of pork. Needless to say, I let the chuck roast sit in the store. Produce, especially fruit, had also gone up but not nearly as much as the beef.

I do 90% of my families food shopping at Aldi. They have great prices on fresh fruits and veggies. I've never had anything from there I didn't like, and if I did they will refund your money, no questions asked.
