KIND bars favorites?

What flavors do you like? I bought one at Walmart last year and while it was good, it was pricey. Now my Diabetes mag is suggesting them as a snack. Any suggestions

They sell these on Amazon.com and I ordered some. They have all varieties the cheapest I have seen.

I just was reading something this morning that said the Kind bars are the best because they don't have a bunch of additives, no added sugar and use whole nuts which aren't processed a lot.

Coconut & almond is my favorite but I like most of them I don't even buy them at Walmart now, they went up $2 a box. They're pretty high in fat tho, so I'm not sure how good for you they can be.

My daughter was a diabetic and it wouldn't have passed the ok list year ago. Honey, palm kernal oil, then sugar are pretty close to the top of ingredients.

*ETA*

Not all of them have actual sugar, but they do have glucose and anything with ose at the end was a no no.

My endocrinologist eats the kind bars, as well as her staff. I use the low sugar ones only....I like cashew and ginger spice and Madagascar vanilla almond, but they are all good. My local nutrition store always has them on sale...usually for $1.25 a bar, and sometimes as low as $1.10 a bar! I buy them by the boxes. I only eat them when I am on vacation or am out for the day since they are an all in one snack for me and convenient to carry around.Last edited on 6/29/2013

I agree that target has the best price. I love the low sugar variety box. I also love the dark chocolate peanut butter. A bit more sugar but more protein too. I have not tried the new cayenne dark chocolate in the current qvc box though

I have no favorite flavor, they all look so good and I have yet to try one. That coconut and almond looks delicious.

Amazon sells a variety pack. I bought one and so far my favorite is the Cranberry Almond. Last edited on 6/29/2013

Keep an eye out for Kind offers on Groupon, Living Socia and other Daily Deal sites. Generally, you get a $25 or $30 voucher for $10. Technically, the deals say only one voucher per order, but I've used these numerous times.

All you have to do is place your Kind order by phone; they will combine vouchers and charge you a single shipping charge. I've done as many as 3 vouchers at a time, getting about $80 in product for $35. They also ship samples. When I got my Healthy Grains order, they shipped 5 samples of the Healthy Grains bars that haven't hit the stores yet. Also, 2 standard size bars of two other new flavors. Very fast FedEx shipping.

I really like the Healthy Grains; because it's a loose mix (kind of like granola), I can take a small amount with me everywhere.

Next best on price is Kroger (on sale), then Amazon.

We recommend Kind bars to our diabetic patients - although some DO have some of the 'forbidden' ingredients, they DO beat patients other choices of snacks. (We also recommend that they carry a snack bag with 11 Peanut or Almond M&Ms. That happens to be a balanced P/F/C snack, and is far better then some patient's alternative choices. We also recommend the same thing as a late night snack for those whose Dawn phenomenon is frequent).

The Kind bars they demo appear to be larger than then the actual packaged bars. I have seen them at Walmart and they are rectangle and small. The rep today and the other day breaks a square bar up. ...........Last edited on 7/1/2013

i really like the choco-cherry bar. it was my first one. i checked them out on a website and it said to use expitited shipping because of summer heat vs. ingredients in the bars.

These are apparently a new line of bars.

In the presentation they are not selling the new shaped bar. It seems like false advertisement.

I think they were. They're calling them granola bars, not the same ones as Walmart or anywhere else yet.

I will have to rewatch and pull up the item. I may be wrong.

My favorite is Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter. The granola bars they had on Sunday won't be in stores until the Fall.

I like the almond/apricot and the salted dark chocolate nut. A coworker turned me on to them a while ago. She had bypass surgery and lost a ton of weight - her doctor recommended these for a snack. I sometimes have one for breakfast and it keeps me full until lunch.

I love every chocolate Kind bar I've ever tried; Dark chocolate & sea salt, Dark chocolate & cherries, Dark chocolate & Peanut Butter, and also Dark chocolate & cinnamon pecan. All are yummy!

I ordered them, we'll see. They sell just about every configeration there is here, even the loose granola. These new kind have very few if any nuts in them. Which is why they aren't as expensive either.

I'm fortunate that my grocery store has been having all the Kind bars on sale for $1 each and I've picked a bunch of different flavors to try.

I only buy them on sale at the grocery store when they're $1.00. Watch these as a snack, though- they are not the lowest calorie option. One bar equals the calories of a Lean Cuisine. I like to take them en route to meetings- you don't want to arrive with apple cores and sticky fingers. They are good to take when you're out shopping - for me, that means I won't be stopping at Aunte Anne's.

I agree, I only really like the ones with dark chocolate. I have ordered them from Amazon as well as purchasing them at Wal-Mart and a local grocery store. I thought the ones that I got locally were much fresher than the Amazon order. Kind bars certainly help me as a filling snack when I have many hours between meals due to a crazy schedule.

They are a wonderful healthy snack option. You can order directly from Kind for a reduced price and they offer variety packs.

Wishing you health and happiness.
