Antipasto, ravioli, meatballs, braciole, sausage & caesar salad. Then later the ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, & probably corn. Then dessert is Italian rum cake and pastries, chocolate cake and butter cookies. We rarely do the Italian meal and the ham because we can't fit it. Seriously this is way too much food. But we can never agree on what to leave out. So we please everyone this way!

The past two Easters we attended a local Easter brunch but this year I wanted to make my Easter dinner. I just ordered my ham this morning. Along with it I'm making baked beans, saurkraut & sausage, cheesy potatoes, vegetable, cole slaw sand 4 yummy desserts! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} I even found my lamb butter this morning! I love cooking my Easter dinner, it's the easiest of all my holiday meals, and is the tastiest! Smile

Smoked Ham & Ribs but haven't decided on the side dishes yet. I was gonna have carrot cake for desert but I changed it to caramel cake.

My sister is hosting and she's making ham and cheesey potatoes. We all bring something to contribute.

My FIL is bringing homemade pierogies from his friends church. I'm bringing kolaches from our Polish deli. Usually my SIL makes a carrot or sweet potato side. My other sister usually brings a spinach/strawberry salad or an asian salad.

Honeybaked Ham and Turkey Breast

Cheese Potatoes

Green Bean Casserole

Brocolli Salad

Easter Coleslaw

Strawberry Spinach Salad

Pineapple Pistachio Pudding Salad

Pineapple Sauce for the ham

Haven't decided on dessert yet!

I am having my dinner on Saturday so my sister and her family can stay and enjoy themselves. They have to drive her daughter back to college on Sunday - a four hour trip. I will be very busy on Friday and Saturday but then I can relax on Easter, which happens to be my birthday this year!

Honey Baked Ham, Aunt Bertie's scalloped potatoes, coconut cake and subscribing for other ideas.

MaryBailey, there's a recipe for ice cream kolacky posted in the recipe forum. Rolled into a thumbprint type cookie and filled. Different than the cut out kolachky I'm used to. Tempted to try it! Sounds easy!

My current plan is: Spiral Ham, party(slow cooker) potatoes, green beans, fresh pineapple, (homemade) dinner rolls, giggler (Jello) eggs, decorated sugar cookies and lemon cheesecake. I will ask others to bring appetizers and beverages.

Thanks, I'll take a look Snowpuppy. I think I have a recipe for that from my MIL also.

I was going to have leg of lamb but have some unexpected guests and don't know if they eat lamb so this is what I am having:

Honey Baked Ham
Manchego Potatoes Au Gratin
Aspargus
Marmalade Baby Carrots
Green salad with dried cranberries, avocado, feta and topped with roasted slivered almonds
Fresh fruit bowl with pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, segmented oranges
Spiral apple tart for dessert.

And of course deviled eggs.

The family is eating at a nice restaurant.. The specials will be prime rib and lamb chops. Then we're going for a nice ride in the county. I'm tired of being stressed and tied down each holiday with cooking.

PamelaSue, can you post the recipe for your sweet potato & apple scallop?

Sounds yummy!

Whatever White Fence Farm is serving. We are finally breaking tradition and going out to eat. I love it. No cooking for everyone and no cleanup!

Be kind. You never know what someone else is going through.
