And to pursue the thought I started on my other thread, how can they sell this stuff so cheaply? $21.97 for 15 knives plus a block, and two retailers, SNBC and Macy's are making money on these items? I'm befuddled. They call it a door buster. I bought an 8 qt. stock pot from this line for $25.00 with free shipping a couple weeks ago. I think they are making heroic efforts to get new customers and these are loss leaders, like they say in the grocery business.

P.S. I see nothing wrong with multiple threads, I certainly don't spend more than a couple seconds searching for a topic before I post.

I loved Steve Bryant, how does he look? I know he has been ill.

He is so phony, I'm sorry , didn't know has been ill, but.....

I remember him on a late night shopping show, I think it was in Tennessee, where he lived/lives.

The show was taken over and the new owners started selling knifes, he quit. He said he couldn't and never would take part of a program like that. Now all of a sudden he is on SHOPNBC selling knifes.. Sorry, I know many liked him, but he always seemed a bit weird to me...

I've always been a fan of Steve's. Never seemed phony to me - felt like you saw the real person - unique sense of humor (in a good way imho), smart, talented (musically).

The Macy's line of kitchenware (he was selling their knives) is not like the late night infomercials for really cheap knives...

Rachelle - I recognized him right away. Glad he is back - somewhat heavier, maybe due to health.

My listings must be different. 'Gifts for the Cook' will be on at 11am, so maybe I'll see him if I get some chores done. Wish I had a TV in the kitchen! I always have liked Steve. I loved it when he played guitar. Wonder what happened to Bob Bowersox?
