Very nice tribute, thank you for sharing....

I remember the story about them thinking they were going to get hit by an airplane and Joan breaking her heel and sitting down winded and telling Tommy to go "save yourself".... I always wondered why Tommy wouldn't have tried to carry Joan further away rather than telling her he'd sit with her because life wouldn't be any fun without her. Just thinking about the circumstances and how tiny she was....
