Coin Pearl Initial Pendant

I have this on waitlist as a gift for my granddaughter and waiting for reviews. There are none on the white choice that I ordered but one reviewer on the gray choice bought both and reported the initial was colorless instead of the gold look in the picture. This concerns me because if the initial is unreadable as she said, a lot of the appeal of the necklace to me would be gone. Anyone else have this and care to comment on the initial's readability?
