there is at least one bracelet online that is steel... the silverTONE ones are base metal

The difficult thing (at least for me) is that they never mention the alloy (metal) under the white tone wash. I'm allergic to most alloys and I break out and the color wears off in a matter of weeks. I can wear most sterling silver although I've had some cheaper sterling that has made me break out, but the better pieces do not.

I do not even buy silver tone or gold tone anymore. I've never tried any of the bronze pieces for the same reason. They mix the bronze with an alloy and don't tell us what that alloy is...
