LOL, I'm glad someone asked because I was thinking the same thing. If I was in the market for an expensive loose stone would I let someone else pick one and ship it to me?

How do you like the wide band ruby ring for $600.00....I am not sure if I like it or not...I would like it better in a lighter background, I think....

If I feel the need to spend that much money on a stone, I really would need to see the cut, the color, and the clarity IN PERSON before making my final decision to buy it.

IMO it's overpriced.

I do love rubies, though, but my favorites are Burmese rubies. I like the ruby red color of Burma rubies more than the purplish color of Thai rubies.

I do like Kanchanaburi sapphires, though, so it is a region for really nice stones. I have some Kanchanaburi sapphires that are absolutely brilliant with a perfect shade of blue and very nice clarity.
