JR Not On Air for all her Presentations

Started 1355411415.61 in Jewelry Talk | Last reply 1355564231.487 by annika

This is why she troubles me, most guests, if it is their TSV, they show up for every show presenting their product. She just asummes that her name will carry her through. Her prices are so overated. Kudos to the guests that are present every time their item is represented. She comes off with a huge ego and lazy. Just my opinion, sorry if this offends anyone. Very pretty jewelry, but not worth the price.

She's got to sleep sometime! I see nothing wrong with her son and daughter-in-law helping out, and I'm really enjoying all of the JR shows today, which including alot of clearance and EZ pays.

Give her a break.

She may be tired, have health issues. who knows. Her DIL and son do a great job .

I don't own any JR, but I like some of her jewelry.

If QVC would give her less hrs and more hrs to other designers, maybe then she would not be so tired.....Just a thought...

Because JR's jewelry sells like hotcakes on the Q. It's too expensive for me. I love the bold silver look.

I have no problem with others from her company presenting the products. You see multiple reps from philosophy, clark's etc. I think she would be worn out for 13 hrs worth of presentations, plus the odd ones here and there during the day.

It has higher mark up than other designers' jewelry . Her designs are not hand drawn and are machine made.. They are light weight and loaded with DMQ. Big profit for her and QVC....

Cheap to manufacture but sold at high prices.

Just not anything I care about. Why does it matter who does the selling - especially to someone who already has made up her mind the product isn't anything she wants.

I don't even buy Judith, but I feel an arrogance when I read this post - as if the writer knows more about value than the thousands and thousands of women who love her items. Did I misinterpret?

What's your point? You don't think the jewelry is worth it? Do people buy because of who is selling or because of the pieces themselves?

Are you serious? She has 13 hours of scheduled shows today, plus items on other shows throughout the day. Would you be able to function on air for those many hours? I don't hink she assumes anything, she's human and needs food, water, rest, etc... to function like the rest of us. How about you try to do live broadcasts on air for the majority of the day and see how things turn out.

Have a great day on purpose

Pleeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! Get over yourself and your negativity!!!! Judith is one of the most humble and appreciative guests QVC has on air.

Just what do you do to contribute to life? Obviously you are not one the the best in your chosen profession. If you were, you would know the work ethic, dedication and talent it takes to be considered the very best.

Go find some happiness in your life, you sad, poor luvpoos!

WOW.....SKYLANDS.....guess you are in a nasty mood today. By the way, I have a wonderful family and life and we also own a very successful business. I DO understand how much time and dedication is involved. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzz, get a good night's sleep tonight. As I stated, it was just my opinion, I don't expect every to agree with me.

Almost all the Q vendors now have a "night person". Ms Ripka is not a kid and at her age, it's hard to be coherent without adequate sleep. I don't blame her, I'd do the same thing.

I disagree, not all guest are there for all presentations. Joel Schechter w/Honora is not there for all his shows when he has a TSV.

Even Susan Graver who seems to be somewhat of a workaholic and certainly not lazy, has Marilyn to do her night shows.

I was kind of surprised she did not do the 10 am show today. I thought perhaps she was ill. I can understand Judith not doing the overnights, but I thought I would see her this morning. Maybe she is easing into retirement and wants her son and DIL to become better known by the Q viewers.

I see nothing at all wrong with Judith letting her son or DIL handle a show for her. After all, they both work for the company and know the product as well as she does.

Judith had 13 hours of presentations today. Her son Brian did 3 hours overnight and Brian's wife did 3 hours also. An hour last night and 2 this morning. Give the woman a break. QVC does not expect their hosts to do more than 3 hours a day. Judith is not 20 years old. She did 7 hours very close together. I enjoy her shows.

ITA. She is not some kid in her 20's who can stay up all night and then appear bright eyed the next day. Beleive me when you get a little older you need your rest. While Judith is not as old as Joan RIvers Joan has David present for her on the overnight shows.

What? You're bit-chin because someone's not hosting every show? Get a life. Ripka and Rivers are probably the highest money making people on q & probably can do just about anything they want (except) say the F word of the air. I can't believe some of these post-ers.

Judith is no spring chicken, albiet very young at heart. I have seen plenty of shows which telecast in the wee hours without their designer or a representative present. Pretty routine.Instead we get to see a pair of hosts or a single host who can fake it through all the clearance and overstock items. Only one who never seems to miss his product presentation is Marc Bauer-fashion designer. And I really love his clothes. And he is getting no help from the Q in bringing in new shows.
