I'd buy the Australian Lightning Ridge Black Opal they're showing on Jay Tee Vee. I'm switching back and forth between the two stations. As it is, the things I like I can't afford, and the things I can afford, I don't like. *sigh*

I saw that opal in an email from JTV...I have watched some of the Q's jewelry shows today. I am not buying because I feel I need other things more.

Gin, if you figure out a way to scare up a fast $120,000, I'd be your friend for life if you shared the idea with me.

It must be a typo. $1200.00 yes...maybe with a stretch, $20,000.00 but come on $120,000.00 That is redunkulous!

If you really want to choke on your afternoon diet soda, go to JTV and type in lightning ridge black opal and do a sort from high to low price. There is one for $360,000.00. Shipping is only $2.99. For that price they can include a lifetime security guard. Better be cute.

Wowzer. I saw the $360,000 opal but not the $120,000 one - someone must've bought it. I didn't realize how expensive Australian opals have become. They are sooo lovely.

Silly. Even if I had zillions of dollars, I would never spend that kind of money on a single jewelry item.
