Same channel, new name. No way to tell how it will change now that it isn't associated with NBC in any way.

ShopHQ is the new name for ShopNBC. I had only bought a few things from SNBC previously, but my experiences were not good. I've bought a few things recently and found the quality to be much better.

I don't think they were as tied into NBC as people think. I believe that they had an interest in it. NBC is now owned by Comcast. (NBC had a stake in ValueVision which they decreased as time went on.) Here's the silly thing: they spent $4 million a year using the name NBC. A total waste of money as they did very few tie-ins to that network.

It's the same thing. Just a name change, I believe. I have ordered from them for about 10 years, and they have their niche. Great watches, and I love Skinn Cosmetics (there this weekend). They used to have the best gold jewelry out there, but nobody does much in that regard anymore. They have some really nice jewelry lines, are increasing their presence in the fashion arena. One thing that have over the Q is value pay. They offer it all the time on almost everything. I think it's a smart thing to do.

I've ordered more from shophq (formerly shopnbc) than I have qvc over the past year. I take advantage of their 5 and 6 value pays they offer generally several times a month. I find their jewelry prices more reasonable and better quality than some of the stuff on qvc. They need to fix their online site though because over the past few months I've had problems, got frustrated and didn't place some orders.

This name change, rebranding isn't their first. Does anyone remember when they were ValuVision?

I don't see anything different except for the name so far.

Agree to disagree...

Sort of a name change and that's about all I see that's different. I note they're still using both names. I suspect over time they'll drop the SNBC...

I think they pretty much have dropped the SNBC, at least what I see. I've been buying more from them than anyone lately, more variety in jewelry and cheaper tops. I don't need Walmart prices, but $50.00 plus for polyester tops is pushing it. I still buy Isaac and LC, but that's it in QVC tops. No Graver, I've just given up on her.

Everything I am getting from them now just says SHOPHQ. I think they have totally dropped the SNBC name.

This past "event" or promotion was based on the name change. So everything is now SHOPHQ. However, they prices are going up to be closer to Qs. At least, they use Value Pays and their clearance is clearance. That's foreign to Q.

........and they have FREE SHIPPING EVENTS{#emotions_dlg.scared}

I have only shopped with them for about 18 months and service, shipping and products have been outstanding. The Q forum ladies turned me onto Isomers and it has been heaven sent.

Thank youKiss

Isomers is great stuff. As much as people are marveling at shop, they have use to have discount codes and free shipping all the time. The merchandise isn't as nice as it used to be. I miss Pam McCoy's line (for coats, not clothes) Some changes have been for the better, but for a while it looked like they were changing into QVC-II.

$20 off isn't really a "sale." Shop has picked that up from its competitors. Not a good thing.

They are trying to push their way up to Q and HSN status. I don't see it working. They just aren't bringing in big names.Suzanne Somers was 1980. Other than that what big names do they have?

Ragss1379991407.0532 PostsRegistered 8/13/2013

I am not buying anything from them anymore, because if you have to return an item, it cost you $13.98. They do not refund your original shipping cost of $6.99 and they deduct $6.99 for the shipping of the returned item. I thing $13.98 is way too much to pay for something that does not work for you.

I used to check them daily for about 6 months and finally concluded that they simply don't carry jewelry I'm interested in at a price I want to pay. The name change doesn't seem to have chnaged their product mix, which doesn't do anything for me.

As for "big names," I had never heard of any of the people on QVC. Fame is fleeting and fickle. And only 15 minutes. Wink

I see that Samuel B. offers a one-year limited warranty on his items. Is that new?

Never heard of Isaac Mizrahi? Or Marc Bouwer or Heidi Klum? OK then.

Really? Wow! Are you serious? Isaac has been around for years. Known as Izzy. Heidi Klum? Famous model. Mark Bouwer is known by some. A long 15 minutes.

As for Samuel Behnam jewelry, Samuel has offered that guarantee for years.

Decent shipping rates and fast shipping. I ordered Skinn the other day and it arrived at my door this afternoon. Always like that with Shop.

The s/h is terrible on SHQ if you order multiple items. I posted about this in fashion I think. I had all clothing items in my cart and they were charging separate s/h for each item at the full s/h price. The s/h was around the $28.00 mark!!!! I deleted everything out of my cart and they lost a sale.

Same place new name. I like their Isomers line and have been using that for years, used Skinn too, but for some reason became allergic to it. Shop HQ sells Brooks Brothers clothes and accessories and they are fabulous. I got a beautifully tailored pin stripe shirt on clearance for under fifty dollars and on 6 easy pays. The quality of the shirt was unbelievable I didn't think they made clothes like that anymore. They do charge a lot for S&H so you better make sure you don't have to sent anything back. I personally don't need a celebrity or a designer to tell me what to like or how I should wear something so that aspect of Shop HQ I like.

Hello? This is the JEWELRY forum. Sheesh. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I came to warn people ... I foolishly ordered something last night and I couldn't cancel within ten minutes. Their CS gave me some song and dance that it was packed and ready for shipping. Within 10 minutes? BS. And now I am out the cost of shipping + return shipping. I hate that channel.

The jewelry when it was ValuVision was extraordinary--but, I couldn't afford any of it!
