24/7 Pants - Can't Match a Top

Last summer I bought a pair of IM's 24/7 ankle pants and love them. I got them in the Passion Fruit thinking they were a hot pink. They are not. They have a touch of coral in them and I'm having a heckuva time matching a top to them.

Saw a black/white print and am wondering if this would work (color blocking). There are a ton of printed tops available that have pink in them, but I'm not sure they would blend. I prefer not to wear a plain white shirt/top b/c I carry my weight in the middle and prints are more flattering.

I guess I'll have to take them with me to B & M stores to match. Nothing I now have works.

Any advice?

What size do you need and how much do you want to spend?

lola - Depending on the cut, I wear a L or XL although in D & C, I'm a medium. Go figure. The budget doesn't allow for anything extravagant, but I don't mind spending a few bucks extra. Any suggestions?

Do you need it to be a Q item?

I'd think a print or pattern with pinks in it would work fine. Also soft neutrals like taupe, gray, cream, or sage, and then perhaps tie the corals/pinks back in with jewelry, a scarf, etc. It's often difficult to exactly "match" colors, but you can usually find things that blend or "go" well with them.

I would like it better if the print would pick up some of the pink/coral from the pants. I'd also like it with a black t-shirt. And I wouldn't stress about the shade of pink being a perfect match!

Goodstuff - soft neutrals are lovely, but don't work with my olive complexion. Jewel tones work better.

handygal - I did look at a couple of black items.

Thanks ladies. Gives me something to work with.
