I have a succulent on my kitchen window that takes in the morning sun. Here in Tx it's pretty hot even in the early morning hours.
As I was puttering around, I happened to look down and one of the stems was vibrating. The a/c was not on therefore not blowing air. Everything was still. I did not have the TV on as Sunday mornings are spent reading, paying bills, catching up on house chores, etc. I have discovered complete silence and tranquility at least once a week are therapeutic for my well being.
Anyway, all that to say there was absolutely nothing going on. I looked to see if other stems were moving, but only saw this one vibrating.
Can sun rays cause this? I googled for info but didn't find anything relating to this particular incident.

That does sound strange, but could it be a "growing spurt?" Maybe it happens often but we never witness it.

Worms? Did you check for a spider?

No worms or spiders. It is a young and very healthy plant.

I've seen my plants do this! I guess maybe it means I've got to ""get a life!""
