Does anyone know where I can purchase a hummingbird feeder with bee guards? They are on the internet, but that requires paying shipping charges. Bees are getting more food than the hummers, and driving the hummers away. Thanks.

Perhaps walmart, lowes. I know Amazon sells this product. If you order $25 shipping is free. Don't you love the hummingbirds?

Do you have a Wild Birds Unlimited near you? They have feeders with bee guards. Also, perhaps putting up a bee / yellowjacket trap might help lure the bees away from your feeders.

I bought some at Lowes last year. Unfortunately, they did not work. It does seem like we must have a bee hive(s) somewhere close to us, though. Maybe if it is just a few bees it would work, as it was all three off my bee proof feeders wound up with mounds of bees on them.

I'm afraid to put my feeders out lest it might attract the neighborhood bear. This is the second year I've missed my hummers. :(

They have them at walmart, but I don't need bee guards, I need ant guards.

You can buy hummingbird feeders with an antwell in
the center. You just fill it with water. When the ants try to get to the nectar, they drown in the water. I've been using these for years now. Just keep filling the ant well, it goes down quickly!

Or put tanglefoot on the wire above the feeder.

I buy my feeders locally, but when I can't find them, I order from Amazon, along with my ant guards. My hummers have been late this year due to the cold Spring, but I spotted my first hummer 2 days ago. Yea! K
