Hi, all, happy April!

Well, today I'm bummed. Last night I did the bike longer than usual with higher resistance than usual, and today, my hip hurts. I think it's the hip flexor muscle and not the implant, but I am nervous about it. I suspect the longer/harder part of yesterday's session on the bike strained the muscle. So, today, I don't know what to do. I need to rest my foot and my hip, which reduced my options. I guess when I get home, I'll look for an upper body DVD, something by Coffey-Meyer I suppose. Or maybe Katami. There must be something in all those DVDs that I can do!

My upper body is killllllllling me. Did an easy session of Pilates with the cardio rebounder for 30 min. Nomless - I hope your hip feels better....that's an unnerving feeling....pain is not good.

Happy April Fool's Day everyone! Finally I can say "April" . Right now though we are getting a cold rain. It's 42 outside, warmer tomorrow and then the next 7 days only in the 30's. Yes I know it's warmer almost everywhere but we are still in our winter clothes and have a lot of snow in our yards.

I didn't do anything today. Had errands to do and chiropractor so just took the day off.

MickD why is your upper body so sore?

Nomless sorry about your sore hips. My flexors hurt most days too but I have my own hips but I do think biking can irritate that. My feet hurt too, maybe I have what you have.. Who knows. Always something hey?

Pppmint thinking about all your doing, and how tiring this job is for you... I hope your making headway!

Hi ladies!!! I thought I'd pop in before there were an overwhelming number of posts!

Lots of old friends here and even more names I don't recognize!

Just want to let you all know that I am (at age 52) graduating college next month (with my 2nd degree) in Nutrition and Exercise Sciences! I'm still not sure "what I want to be when I grow up," but I am currently preparing to take a certification exam to become a Health Fitness Specialist. I am both incredibly scared and excited!

I've been busying myself with Zumba and Pound classes at my gym, after putting on hold my hopes of participating in a 5k due to back pain (that on the heels of fracturing my ankle over the summer)

I'm looking forward to catching up with some old friends here, and getting acquainted with those who are new to me!

NoTan, how awesome it is to see you again!! Congratulations on finishing you program and setting new goals. Way to go!!! I hope we'll see more of you. I continue to do my workouts as best and as often as I can.

Morning, dreary here today but it's warmer...

Today I did 3 miles on the treadmill and also 20 on the Total Gym doing my own thing, 10 reps 1 legged squats, then 10 on the other leg, then count down 9 and 9 and so forth, then did chin ups and pull ups using this method, oblique twisters, and some stretching..

Nomless almost the weekend! I didn't get to have time to look for the rice cooker this week again. I was in a hurry and ran into everyone I knew there so had to bi pass again but I will get there sooner or later.

FUTURE I know your busy, hoping to catch up with you this weekend.

Hard to believe we are now saying Easter time....I'm glad though...although we won't see sandals or capri's here for some time to come. Yard full of snow..

Okay better get on to the next task.

TG intermediate done......Bopper - my upper body and arms are spaghetti due to the TG!!!! That's a good thing as I never used them for running! NoTan - congrats on your 2nd degree!!!! WooHoo!
