Tricare as Primary with Supplement

We have Tricare because my husband retired from the Army. We have Health link through his present job. Health link is our primary with Tricare as our supplement. With retirement looming, we'd like to make Tricare our main insurance with a supplement. Does anyone know what a Tricare supplement cost a month? We heard they are relatively cheap, but that seems too good to be true. Any information would be appreciated.

Re: Tricare as Primary with Supplement

Tricare is always the second payer if you have OHI (other health insurance).

Here is a place to start investigating: http://www.tricare.mil/Costs/HealthPlanCosts/TSE.aspx.

We are probably older than you and have just transitioned from CIGNA and Tricare to Medicare with Tricare for Life as our second. We live more than 200 miles from a MTF (military treatment facility). If you live near a mil hosp you have more options, such as Tricare Prime.
