Mass in liver

I was in the hospital last week and one of the tests I received was an abdominal CT scan. It showed a 1.5cm mass in my liver. This was an incidental finding since I was there for something completely different.

The doctor said this is a small mass but I need to get an MRI done in 5-6 weeks to see if it's growing (and more likely cancer). I do have NAFLD because of type 1 diabetes.

Anyone had this before? My husband wants me to go in now to get the MRI to see what it is.
